THINGS TO DO IN MOAB

Moab mountain biking is very popular, as are rock-climbing and hiking. Experts claim it has some of the best trails and climbing options in the world. And the setting, with its gorgeous red rocks, can’t be beat. Captain Ahab, Slickrock, Hunter Rim and the Whole Enchilada area (Porcupine Rim) all offer very difficult trails. For those with a little less experience, Deadhorse state park has a very scenic, and easy, loop, while others have found that Klondike bluffs is a beginner friendly option. There is plenty of variety in Moab so there is something for everyone.

Are You a Foodie?

The restaurants in Moab are amazing! Do you love pizza? If so, you have to try Antica Forma and its wood-fired Neapolitan pizza. For excellent diner style food, Moab vacationers rave about Zax and Moab Diner while Sultan serves up excellent Mediterranean grill food. Pro tip: Stop by the Spoke and get a Huckleberry ice cream if you’ve never had one. In the A.M., locals love to stop by Moab Coffee Roasters for a delicious cup of joe.

Consider a Moab off-roading experience. Visitors can bring their own vehicle, rent an ATV, UTV or Jeep, or book a tour with one of the area’s official guides. Moab has a full range of trails, from easy scenic drives to difficult 4-wheel drive trails, providing an opportunity to experience the thrill and beauty of a backcountry adventure.

Are You a Sightseer?

We’ve got you covered! Start your trip with a visit to the famous Arches National Park early in the day. We recommend early arrival as it can get pretty busy by mid-morning. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy one of many, many quiet picnic sites to take a break and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you. Moab hiking trips, such as from Park Avenue down to the Courthouse and back, is a great way to start the day. And of course, you can’t miss Double Arch and Windows!

Of course, no Moab Utah vacation would be complete without a trip to the Islands in the Sky area of Canyonlands! If you can get away early, you definitely should; Nothing beats watching the sun rise over Mesa Arch. After that, we recommend the beautiful drive to the Green River Overlook and Upheaval Dome. After that, you can always opt for a hike at Grandview or a stop at Shafer Overlook which many say is their favorite, with a view of the dirt track road that runs down into the canyon.

Then Moab is the place for you. Free climbing abounds throughout the region, and canyoneering and zip lining can be found wherever you look!
